Empyrean Capital Partners

ODAA approached the design of Empyrean Capital Partners offices through the inspiration of the traditional financial trading tool; the ticker tape. The long, unbroken thread of paper that recorded market data as a series of ticks and punches capturing the movement and balance of markets.

This concept informed the logic and interaction between the various spaces connected by a weaving wood slat wall which echoes the steady cadence of data points — measured, sequential, and always in motion.

The open lounge and conference area for a relaxed, yet formalized arrival with the slightly hidden kitchen and social area anchors the central gathering moment along the flowing wood walls. The functional heart of the office is the trading floor where workstations echo the patterns and interactions of the unpredictability of the markets on any day.

Full glass office fronts encourage connection throughout the office, and the warm yet sophisticated palette is representative of the stock markets origin and evolutions as a timeless entity throughout the financial world’s history.
