Project in Collaboration with Asfour Guzy

Located in the center of The Grove – a bustling retail and shopping complex, the new restaurant is the first West Coast location of the successful New York City based group. Within the vaulted ceiling space, the dining area is divided into a sushi bar and a series of wood-lined booths as a more formal experience. Deeper within the space, a more intimate bar area provides a casual and lively space for a cocktail or quick bite. Traditional Japanese wooden accents are combined with laser-cut screens to create a material palette that is both opulent as well as modern. Aside from the full kitchen installation, the exterior improvements included the installation of a new wood storefront, canopy, and installation of a ceramic tile exterior.
