Sinai Temple and Akiba Academy embarked on a journey to explore possible expansion scenarios on its very tight urban campus – a campus that has seen expansions and alterations over the years without an overall clear cohesive strategy, evolving into a confusing interaction between the various uses within.

Our proposal considers celebrating a new grand entry on Ashton with a central spine that cuts through the various buildings to create a zone for intersections and gathering spaces as a way to clarify uses and wayfinding. A future expansion across Ashton for the preschool, sportsfield and parking frees up the current building to be reprogrammed.
