Piedmont Residence
San Francisco, CA
Working within the envelope of an existing mid-century Eichler home, the project involved the complete renovation and restoration of the interior space from the public areas to the private rooms of the house. The main priorities were both visual and physical connections between the interior and exterior, achieved through selectively removing a series of walls within the Living, Dining, and Kitchen areas. New millwork was introduced as a connecting thread throughout the house. From the entry stair, a large multi-slide door allows direct access to the backyard and the new patio area in the hillside landscape.
